I don’t know how about you but I always set myself a couple of resolutions for every new year. I don’t subscribe to that ‘new year new me’ nonsense. I take it rather like a challenge. So, today’s post will focus on making your resolutions happen no matter when you are setting them.
Write your resolutions down
Write them in your diary, your journal or just on a piece of paper and put it somewhere where you will always see them. I would also suggest putting a little note about why you want to stick to this resolution. Therefore, you will be always reminded. Also, try not to set too many resolutions. It can be demotivating and overwhelming.
Think about how you will achieve your goals. Think of specific ways. If you want to for instance start to eat healthier, then do your research. Find a couple of recipes you might like and try them out before the 1st of January. Learn about the healthier options to substitute those not so healthy ones.
Take it gradually
Once again, if you want to start for example eating healthier, begin with something simple. You might start with eating a healthy breakfast every single day, then add a healthy lunch and then go further with a healthy dinner. This kind of goes with the previous tip but if you incorporate one healthy meal a week during your research you won’t be overwhelmed when you actually start.
And that’s everything for today’s post. I wish you good luck in sticking to your New Year’s resolutions.
xoxo, S. V.
