The Worst Fashion Trends of 2017

Hello, everyone!

The year 2017 is officially over and I thought it was time to reflect on it fashion-wise. Today, I would like to focus on the worst trends of the past year. Or at least worst according to me. If you liked any of those trends listed below and were rocking it wearing them, good for you!

Plastic

I mean the clear knee jeans, all-clear trousers, and all-clear boots. In my opinion, it doesn’t look flattering at all. It must be so uncomfortable, it must be so hot. And who wants to have sweaty feet?! For me, this is a big no-no. Along with this plastic trend go Crocs. It seems they just won’t go away.

Pompoms

In 2017, we saw pompoms everywhere. On jumpers, tops, scarves, shoes. The list goes on. It makes me ask: WHY? Leave pompons to clowns and find another more flattering trend to follow.

Furry Slippers

Don’t get me wrong. I like furry slippers. I love feathery high heels. I think they are gorgeous. I also like wearing furry slippers. BUT with with my nightgown. At home! Why are people wearing them when they go outside? Doesn’t the fur get dirty? Isn’t it difficult to clean it afterward?

Sock Booties

Ugh! I just… Aah! I don’t even know what to say! Sock booties make me speechless. Why? Why? WHY?! I will leave it at that.

Tracksuits

You know, I would never wear sportswear when going out unless I’m actually working out. I prefer to look kinda polished and put together. I get that it’s probably super comfortable to wear a tracksuit but as I said, I never wear sportswear outside and I don’t complain about being uncomfortable.

All right guys, these were the worst trends of 2017. As I said if you liked any of these trends, good for you! But I feel like some fashion creations look absolutely bomb in editorial and not so good in real life.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I’m looking forward to seeing you soon! Also don’t forget to check out my YouTube channel as well!

xoxo, S. V.
