Today I thought I would show you what garments I bought this month. As I said in my New Year’s resolutions for 2018 blog post, I’m trying to be more minimalistic this year to prevent from getting too much clutter and also to save up some money. To accomplish this, I let myself buy only three clothing items every month. This doesn’t include underwear and hosiery as I usually buy these in larger quantities than just three items. So, let’s get into it!
Ripped Boyfriend Jeans
You see, I never liked boyfriend jeans. I always thought I would stick to my skinny jeans and that’s it. However, earlier this month while scrolling down my Pinterest feed looking for fashion inspo I came across a lot of outfits featuring ripped boyfriend jeans and fell in love. Now I’m absolutely happy I purchased them. It’s a nice refreshment for my wardrobe. This particular pair is from Forever 21. It’s just pair of simple ripped blue jeans. I didn’t want to buy jeans with any other embellishments like for instance glitter.
Faux Leather Trousers
I already have a pair of faux leather trousers and I’m in love with them. I wear them all the time and so I thought it was about a time to get another pair. These faux leather trousers are from New Look and I knew I had to buy them the second I beheld them. I like that they are high-waisted. Like my jeans from Tally Weijl which have been featured in my lookbooks a couple of times. I was actually on a hunt for a similar pair of high-waisted trousers and here I go.
Faux Fur Waistcoat
I have an abundance of faux fur items in my wardrobe and I have to hold myself to not buy any more of them. But then I was on my way to pay for the faux leather trousers in New Look when I saw this divine piece of faux fur garment. It was the very last one and it didn’t even have a price tag on it anymore. Perhaps someone tore it off. Guys, I wish you could touch it for yourself. I can’t express how soft it is. If I thought my faux fur jacket from Bershka was incredibly soft, then this is a whole another level of softness. Oh my God, this makes me look like a faux fur fetishist or something (which I might actually be), so I will stop.
Long story short, I took it to the counter to ask how much is it. Even the cashier couldn’t believe how much did it cost. It was discounted from who knows how much to only 44.99 GBP! That’s a steal!
Okay, that’s it for January favourites. Definitely stay tuned for upcoming lookbooks because I will incorporate these items. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon and don’t forget to check out my YouTube channel!
xoxo, S. V.
