Stress affects all of us. Some of us less and some of us more. Lately, I’ve been overwhelmed with a lot of stress from my upcoming exams and deadlines for my university assignments, and so I thought I would write a blog post on how to deal with stress, whether it’s a short-term nervosity or living in constant stress. So let’s get into it!
Find Time to Exercise
Chances are that if you’re in stress, then you’re also pretty busy. I completely understand. But try to take just 30 minutes out of your day and dedicate this time to an exercise of your choice. It can be yoga, jogging or just something simple such as a walk. I would suggest you wake up 30 minutes earlier and implement this work out into your morning routine. This will boost your energy levels for the day, and you will feel better about your health choices.
Do Something You Love
In other words, find a hobby. If you already have one, great! Now take some time out of your jam-packed schedule, and try to include some time for your hobby. It can be anything and you can do it anytime it suits you best. It can either be the morning exercise from the previous tip, or it can be reading a book before you go to bed.
Turn off your phone, light a scented candle and immerse yourself in a warm bubble bath. Or have a massage done. It’s completely up to you. Just unwind. Just turn off your mind and meditate. You don’t have to sit in the lotus position to meditate. You can meditate while in being massaged, while you’re taking a bath, or while lying comfortably in your bed.
Drink Apple Cider Vinegar
I’m not saying grab a bottle of ACV and drink it. Drink just o shot of 1 tablespoon of ACV and whatever amount of water you like. Apparently, when the pH of your blood is above or below 7, your body is stressed and you might not be aware of it. ACV helps to balance this out. It’s much better for you than drinking coffee. I drink a shot of 1 tbsp of ACV, 1 tbsp of aloe vera juice and water every single morning, and let me tell you it wakes you up. Now, this isn’t a magical potion that you drink when you feel stressed and everything will settle down. It’s just a nice shot to strengthen your health.
Breathe Deep and Take It Easy
If you’re thoroughly nervous about an upcoming exam, job interview, meeting or anything, just breathe. Tell yourself that it’s going to be all right. No matter how it turns out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. And now continue on your own. You can also listen to music and do whatever relaxes you. Just stay positive. It’s going to be okay!
And that’s all the tips I have for you to manage stress. I hope you found this helpful and let me know what you like to do to de-stress in the comments down below.
See you soon!
xoxo, S. V.
