OOTD: Floral Dress & Sandals

Hello everyone!

Today I have a simple summery outfit to show you. It includes one of my current obsessions which is a floral mini dress. So let’s get straight into it!

I will start with the most obvious item and the star of this OOTD which is the floral off-the-shoulder mini dress. It’s from Forever 21, and you can find it here. You could also have already seen it in my June 2018 Favourites.

The dress comes with its own piece of fabric which can be tied around your waist as a belt. However, I wanted to embellish the dress a bit, so I paired it with this black plait belt. Even though the belt is not a huge addition, the simple belt makes a difference to the overall look.

Unfortunately, I can’t remember where this belt is from. I’ve owned it for a really long time. I have this feeling that it came with a different dress, but I can’t figure out which dress it is. Although, I also have a similar belt from Primark which you could have seen in some of my previous OOTDs.

The floral print on the dress is quite dense. For that reason, I didn’t want to wear too much jewellery. I layered these two simple chain necklaces from Primark. The triangle with the horizontal line symbolises the element of Earth, and the simple triangle symbolises water.

To wrap everything up, I combined the outfit with my new sandals from Primark. They have these cute pink flowers on them and are incredibly comfortable. Just perfect for walking around the city all day. Or on the beach. Wherever you would wear this outfit.

My tip for styling simple outfits, such as this one, is to add some accessory. In this instance, it’s the belt. It’s simple but makes a difference. There’s a thin line between simple and boring. You can also combine the outfit with some jewellery, but don’t go over the top with the jewellery. We want to keep it simple.

And that’s all I have for this OOTD. I hope you enjoyed and let me know what you think in the comments down below!

See you soon!

xoxo, S. V.
