It’s Monday, and it means that I’m back with a brand new OOTD. This OOTD is my take on smart casual clothing. Or casual smart clothing? Just continue reading, and you will see for yourself!
A simple white shirt is the foundation of a majority of smart outfits. Whether you’re a woman or a man, it doesn’t matter. Unless you’re a woman and want to wear an elegant dress. In that case, skip the white shirt. This white shirt is from Primark.
If you were to style your usual smart outfit, you would probably go with a simple black pencil skirt. I don’t wear smart clothes often, and if I’m running errands in the city, I still want to keep it somewhat casual and give it a bit of my personal style.
For that reason, I paired the white shirt with this black denim mini skirt from Primark. It has lovely floral embroidery on it, and as you might already know, I’m a huge fan of florals. By the way, the rings and bracelets are from Pandora.
Moving on to shoes! I styled the outfit with these gorgeous sparkly sandals from Primark. I mean, look at them! Aren’t they to die for?! I’m pretty sure they cost only 12 GPB. I chose to wear these because they are unique and add more to look at to the overall outfit.
For jewellery, I wanted to keep it within the range of the florals from the skirt, and the rhinestones from the sandals. And so I combined it with this chain necklace with flowers and rhinestones. I’ve had this necklace for several years, and I can’t recall where I purchase it. However, I think it was Tally Weijl.
My tip for styling different kinds of embellishments is to keep it within the same colour range. You see, I’m combining crystals and florals in this outfit. These two can look a bit over the top when styled together, but both of the clothing items are black. Therefore, the foundation of this outfit is still back and white. This combination keeps the outfit well put together.
And that’s all I have for this OOTD. Let me know what you think in the comments down below!
See you soon!
xoxo, S. V.
