Today I’m back with a new OOTD. This one is slightly different from my other outfits because it’s not boho chic-inspired. Today I want to show you this all-black outfit I wore on a night out the other day. Or more like the other night making it an OOTN. Let’s just get into it!
The key item of this OOTD is this black vinyl mini skirt from Primark. You could have already seen this skirt in this OOTD. You can check out the post if you want more inspiration to style this type of skirt.
I combined the skirt with this simple black turtleneck T-shirt from Pull&Bear. It has long sleeves, but I rolled them up to approximately 3/4 length. It’s very hot in London at the moment, but it still gets quite chilly at night. That’s why I chose this particular top.
Since the outfit would be rather boring this way, I paired it with this belt from River Island. This belt has been featured in several of my OOTDs already. That’s how much I love it.
Like I said, this was my “night out” outfit. Therefore, I didn’t want to carry my usual tote bag with me. Instead, I chose this cute black crossbody clutch bag from River Island. As you might know already, I love anything with feathers on it, and anything original in general. The chain strap makes it even more unique. I tried to find the bag on River Island’s website but I only found the pink version, so here’s the link if you’re interested.
In case you’re wondering, the jewellery I’m wearing is my trustworthy bracelets and rings from Pandora. I wear them all the time because they have a special meaning for me.
To get me through the long summer night, I wore these stunning black ballet flats from Primark. I don’t know if you can tell, but there are little fringes attached to the gold detailing. These flats are very comfortable and don’t make my feet suffer. I genuinely don’t understand how girls can go out in high heels and get through the night in them.
My tip for styling all-one-colour outfits is to experiment with fabrics and accessories. In this outfit, I styled a simple polyester T-shirt with a vinyl skirt. These are two contrasting materials that add more dimension to the overall outfit. As you can see, I kept the look quite simple in terms of accessories. The belt was just there to put everything together, and the crossbody clutch bag is such a unique piece that it embellishes any outfit on its own. And the ballet flats have a little gold embellishment on them which makes them an interesting addition to any outfit. Together they create a nice balanced elegant look.
And this is all I have for this OOTD. I hope you enjoyed and let me know what you think in the comments down below!
See you soon!
xoxo, S. V.
